Welcome to Hill Online Shop, operated by Hill Group Limited, based in Tanzania. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our mobile app and services. By downloading, accessing, or using our app, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
- Introduction
- This app is owned and operated by Hill Group Limited, located at Dar es Salaam in Tanzania
- Our app provides access to purchase and deliver FMCG products, including online payment options.
- Definitions
- “App” refers to the Hill Online Shop mobile application.
- “User” refers to anyone using the app, whether registered or not.
- “Products” refer to the goods available for purchase on the app
- “Delivery Partner” refers to third-party logistics providers responsible for delivering orders
- Eligibility to Use the App
- You must be at least 18 years old to use this app
- By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and updated.
- The app is intended for use within Tanzania.
- Account Registration and Securit
- Users must register an account with a valid phone number, email address, and delivery address
- It is the user’s responsibility to keep their account credentials confidential
- Users must notify Hill Group Limited immediately if they suspect unauthorized access to their account.
- Products and Availability
- We strive to ensure that product descriptions and prices are accurate. However, errors may occur.
- Product availability is subject to change without notice. In the event of unavailability after purchase, we will notify you and provide a refund or alternative options.
- Pricing and Payments
- Prices displayed on the app are inclusive of applicable Tanzanian taxes
- Payment methods include:
- Mobile money services (e.g., M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money
- Bank transfers and credit/debit card payments.
- Payments must be completed before orders are processed. Hill Group Limited is not responsible for failed transactions caused by network issues or incorrect payment details.
- Delivery Policy
- Deliveries are available only in areas within Tanzania specified on the app.
- Estimated delivery times are provided during checkout but may vary due to factors such as traffic, weather, or holidays.
- Users must provide accurate delivery details. If delivery fails due to incorrect information or unavailability of the recipient, additional charges may apply.
- Perishable goods must be inspected at delivery. Issues must be reported immediately to the delivery partner or customer support.
- Order Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Orders can be canceled provided the order has not yet been dispatched.
- Refunds will be processed for:
- Canceled orders before dispatch.
- Damaged or defective products (with evidence provided).
- Failed deliveries due to issues on our end.
- Refunds will be credited through the original payment method within 72 Hours.

- Use the app for unlawful purposes.
- Attempt to access the app’s backend systems or misuse its features.
- Violations may lead to account suspension or legal action.
- Promotions and Discounts
- Promotions and discounts are subject to specific terms detailed in their respective offers
- Misuse of promotional codes (e.g., sharing codes with unauthorized users) may result in forfeiture
- Intellectual Property
- All content on the app, including trademarks, logos, and text, is owned by Hill Group Limited or licensed to us
- Users are prohibited from reproducing, distributing, or modifying any content without prior written consent.
- Limitation of Liability
- While we strive to offer reliable services, Hill Group Limited is not liable for:
- Delays caused by third-party delivery partners.
- Losses arising from incorrect product use or unauthorized account access
- Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the value of the disputed transaction.
- Service Interruption
- We may temporarily suspend services for maintenance or upgrades. Efforts will be made to notify users in advance.
- Hill Group Limited is not responsible for service disruptions caused by factors beyond our control, such as internet outages or regulatory changes.
- Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania
- Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved amicably or, failing that, in Tanzanian courts.
- Termination
- We reserve the right to terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activities.
- Changes to Terms
- Hill Group Limited reserves the right to update these Terms. Users will be notified of significant changes, which will take effect upon posting on the app.
